Back in Paris

So, we went back to Paris- I kid- these are old pics to keep things fresh- we went back IN MY DREAMS! This was taken from the 2nd level of the Eiffle Tower-
Again, from the Tower-

I don't remember where this was taken...Send me an email if you recognize & I'll label it.

Never made to Waterford- the tour was still closed for the weekend. Also, we have had a significant amount of sad news about family members back in the States. We are coping with the news and outcomes, making plans, and nursing head colds, etc. So, all travel has been put on hiatus.

Notre Dame Sorry about the blur- It didn't look blurry on my computer & the thing took a very long time to upload- So I am keeping it.

More Notre Dame
Take care- Maybe I'll send Chan out and about to take some pics!

Je m'appelle Tracy- Bonjour, un, duex, trois...

Paris was wonderful. Truly.

I have taken many French Courses- Took some French in high school. In college, I just needed one more course of French and I could've had a double minor...whatever that is. So, many years later, I was very excited about practicing it in Paris. Turns out, I read French pretty well- But, my conversational French comprehension and expression is ....limited. Basically, I can greet, count, say please & thank you, ask you to repeat more slowly, tell you that I don't understand, and ask you "how do you say.....". & I can say "good-bye." I cannot, however, tell a Taxi driver how to get to my hotel. In the time that it takes me to comprehend a question and try to formulate an intelligible response, the speaker has repeated the questions in English. & People look at you oddly when you ask them to write what they are saying.

On top of the Eiffle Tower.

Chandler in Front of the tower. I was happy just to see it. But Chandler insisted that we wait in the freezing cold for 90 minutes.

Notre Dame Cathedral Chandler takes pics from the top of the double decker bus- too freakin' cold for me.

Waterford

There won't be a whole lot of my writing on Waterford. It is a beautiful area.- & there is supposed to be a fantastic tour. Sadly, the tour was not operating the weekend after New Year's- So, we didn't see it. Chan took some pics of the shop-

Our Humble Abode

Lots of you have asked to see the exterior of our home. (Some in not so nice ways....) So, here is the side entrance...Scott is behind me- helping me up. Money has been tight and we had to let the gardeners go. We wear our jackets all of the time- can't afford the firewood.
This is the out house- It is very cold. Freezing cold- but, plenty of privacy.

There is the north wing.- You can't see him, but Chandler is keeping watch for invaders. He is camoed. That is just how he rolls.
